We just started a youth blog in order to keep in touch with the young people who participated in our AMTV youth programs. Simultaneously, we are beginning this blog for parents, teachers and other mentors who have been involved with the AMTV youth programs.
This year, AMTV is beginning a program called the AMTV Club. Through the AMTV Club, we will be working with several public, private or home school groups each year. We are currently scheduled to work with the HST Home School Network in spring 2010.
And we plan to begin keeping in touch with the participants of our past youth programs through our blogs. If you know someone who might be interested in this blog, please send them a link and invite them to join in the discussion.
AMTV is committed to working with young people and sharing our knowledge of television production with the area's future creators of television programming. We would like to help provide the expertise that young people need to express themselves by using television production, and to help prepare interested students for possible future careers in television production.
Please be sure to keep us in mind as your students are working on video projects. We provide an excellent forum for showcasing the work of area media students, so that they can be viewed by all of Montgomery County via cable television on Channel 19 and 21, and by the rest of the world on our web site at www.accessmontgomery.tv.
And so, here is your blog to keep in touch and chat about the needs of your future creators of television. We will also post opportunities here from time to time. Please tell us: How are things going at your school? What new projects are your students working on? How can we continue to help you? What questions do you have for us?
We look forward to hearing from you often!
